Christine Varley painting a springer spaniel at her easel, the owner's photo taped beside it — at the easel, Weobley studio

Meet the artist

“It's all in the eyes”

Christine has painted animals professionally since 1987, after studying graphic design at Coventry University. Her work has been exhibited at Crufts and major horse trials, and she has worked with the Kennel Club, Dogs Trust and The Brooke.

She's known for capturing each animal's personality, so it looks like they could jump out of the picture, and she'll help you choose the best pose and layout.
